Dracula and Blake's 7

Well it's been a few months since I created this blog with the intention of highlighting my dvd covers and other art away from my site, so I will begin with this small selection of pieces I have completed recently..

Dracula starring Marc Warren was a weird a beast when it was shown Christmas 2006. I started work on the dvd cover and only finished it last week, mainly out of boredom than anything else.

As usual the official dvd cover was knocked up by someone with no desire or intention to do anything original. Stock photo's plus a photoshop plug in seems to be acceptable by most companies these days so I wanted to improve on the lacklustre design that was offered on the dvd release.

Recently I have also been working on lots of other projects, Blake's 7 being a particular favourite of mine. Some of you may be aware that I am two thirds of the way through creating individual covers for every B7 story, I also have been designing a selection of random B7 pieces in film poster styles. Below are the two latest, season 1 and 4.

My name is Damien and I have decided to create a portfolio of my artwork and I shall be adding a lot of pictures here over the next few days.

At this time, I am currently creating some Star Trek (remastered) covers to replace the DVD/Blu-Ray covers, which in all honesty, look naff on the shelves at HMV, so I decided to create my own.
